DUBLIN SMARTPHONE FILM FESTIVAL  | GLOBAL CONNECTION  | APRIL 30TH to MAY 7TH

Join us in 2023 as we celebrate our 6th annual smartphone filmmaking with a hybrid festival. Submissions are now open for the festival which will take place in April 2023. The past year has been isolating & we have had to find new ways to connect and stay in touch with our community. We decided to make this the theme for this years festival, Global connection

Dublin Smartphone Film Festival promotes and celebrates mobile filmmakers, hoping to showcase the power you have in your pocket and inspire and empower others to get involved in filmmaking. This involves highlighting the best and brightest from our national and international community and putting a spotlight on the wonderful work they are creating using a tool as simple as their mobile phone

The Festival is now in its 6th year and 2023 is shaping up to be our biggest event yet.

The festival will now take place on APRIL 30TH 2022 and will be in partnership with the Irish Film Institute based in Dublin's City Centre

The IFI is Ireland's national cultural institution for film. It aims to exhibit, preserve and educate audiences about Irish and international cinema so we are honoured to be able to showcase films from our community on this national and international stage.

The 2023 event promises to an epic hybrid event carrying on the basis of these four key pillars, championing ourselves as a Festival that will create opportunities for industry professionals and audiences alike to discover truly new independent voices in the world of mobile filmmaking.
