What to expect from our smartphone filmmaking workshop?
You will gain experience in the whole process, from story generation and storyboarding to filming, editing, and showing your work. The aim is to give you the skills to get your project film festival-ready.
STORYBOARDING
Work on story generation and storyboarding scenes for filming. Learn how to create a compelling narrative for film festival audiences. Explore the art of storytelling and scriptwriting and how to use storyboarding to map out your scenes, shot by shot.
FILMING
Learn the fundamentals of filming, including camera operation, composition, lighting, and sound. Get hands-on experience behind the camera. You’ll be amazed at what you can create with just your smartphone!
EDITING
You’ll discover how to edit your footage from your mobile device. I will introduce you to user-friendly video editing apps and teach you the basics of trimming, adding transitions, enhancing audio, and more. This phase is crucial for fine-tuning your submission to any film festival.
FEEDBACK
Master advanced editing techniques tailored for smartphone footage. Participants will also view each other’s final project, providing constructive feedback and insights. This collaborative review session will help you refine your editing skills and gain valuable input from your peers.
